STANDARD BROTHERS SELF HELP GROUP

Standard Brothers self-help group is a beneficiary of Uwezo Fund. The group is located in Kapseret Constituency, Langas Ward, Uasin Gishu County. The group is composed of 20 members.
Standard Brothers Self Help Group received an initial loan of KSHS 50,000, a second loan of KSHS 100, 000 and a third loan of KSHS 200, 000. Currently the group has applied a forth loan of Kshs 500, 000.
The group deals in a multiple number of individual businesses ranging from Mechanical businesses, Carpentry, selling of mtumba clothes together with fish and samosa vending.
Beatrice Nyamai representing the group at the 10th devolution conference expo stated that the Fund has enabled her to be self-reliant through the operation of her Mtumba business. She urges the youth and women to apply for Uwezo Fund, as it is interest free and easy to repay. She further stated that groups with the need to apply for the Uwezo loans should exercise teamwork and discipline in order to benefit more from the Fund.
